Splash Mania at Cania

Welcome back, have you missed us? Cania Gorge is looking beautiful, and our park splash zone is just calling your name! This blog is all about why your next family holiday needs to be at BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Cania Gorge.

Splash and Play

We are so excited that our Splash and Play Water Park will be back up and running with the pool repaired and open for use! This area features a splash zone, a slide, a toddler pool and a full-size swimming pool. It’s perfect for the whole family to enjoy a day cooling off, enjoying the sunshine and taking advantage of the awesome park amenities.

Enjoy the Park

It’s activities galore at Breeze Cania, with so many options to entertain the full family. Love water activities and want to navigate the scenic Cania waterways? Feel welcome to hire paddle boards, kayaks and canoes from reception. You could even drop a line while you’re there. Thinking more land based?

Within the park, there’s heaps to do! Peddle carts are a fan-favourite, whilst the jumping pillow will be sure to burn off the sugar rush from our Kiosk’s sweet treats! Family competition thrives on the frisbee golf course and tennis court, making for some fun in the sun. If you love interacting with the local wildlife, our bird feedings are a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the Cania locals; sessions are held daily from 5pm.

Explore the Gorge

Cania Gorge National Park is filled with endless opportunities for an adventure in nature; the gorge is only a quick 3-minute drive from our holiday park. Cania is an ancient environment and as such should be treated with great respect, take only memories with you and leave only footprints. There are multiple walking tracks that are open to the public, each are graded so that you can easily pick a walk suited to your level of fitness and bushwalking experience. If you’re wanting an easier track then we would suggest the Picnic Area Circuit; allow about 20 minutes for this walk as you snake through the woodland following the Three Moon Creek. This walk boasts great views of the sandstone cliffs and eucalypt woodlands. If you’re looking for something a little more challenging then try the grade 3 Fern Tree Pool and Giant’s Chair Circuit. Taking about 3 hours this will allow you to cross Doctors Gully several times, it then passes through the peaceful Fern Tree Pool, before elevating and ending with Giant’s Chair Lookout where you will be able to see out through the gorge. While you’re here don’t forget to look out for the incredible local wildlife, you could spot a lace monitor, king parrots or a platypus.

If you’re wanting something a little more relaxing fix yourself a tasty snack and head to Three Moon picnic areas. They have BBQs, sheltered tables, toilets and tank water available for the public (please remember no bins are provided so please take your rubbish with you). There are displays here in which you can learn about the park’s history, vegetation and wildlife. When you’re heading into the national park don’t forget to be prepared, the gorge can be quite warm during the summer months, so take plenty of water and consider going for an early morning walk. Wear supportive shoes, a hat, sunscreen and comfy clothes.
