Bitter Springs

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Katherine

Located in Elsey National Park, Bitter Springs is one of two natural thermal pools (spa day anyone?). Spring water rises through the underground at an incredible rate of 30.5 million litres per day. Pack a picnic and stroll 20 minutes to the Springs. Swimming is must-do here; a refreshing dip in crystal-clear warm waters is the perfect way to spend the day. Alternatively, Mataranka Thermal Pool is just down the road, with some more challenging walks. This location does require you to have a park pass and there are stairs with a handrail to access the water.

 

Best time to visit: May- September

 

Carnarvon Creek

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Carnarvon Gorge

Carnarvon Creek snakes itself through the incredible landscape of Carnarvon Gorge. This creek always flows, even without constant rainfall. The creeks and springs support a mosaic of habitats, creating a diversity of wildlife. Onsite at Breeze Carnarvon Gorge, we’re lucky enough that the creek  is home to our resident platypus. In the peacefulness of early mornings and evenings, the platypus can be spotted swimming! We also have a swimming hole, perfect for cooling down after long warm days exploring the Gorge.

 

Best time to visit: April-October

 

Geographe Bay

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Busselton

White beaches, calm waters & sweeping Indian Ocean views, all just minutes from Breeze Busselton. This north-facing shoreline welcomes beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the perfect backdrop for a sandy stroll or a sun-soaked beach day. Swimming, fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing; you can do it all in Geographe Bay. As an added bonus, it’s dog friendly! If you’re looking for something extra special, from September to December the area is visited by some 35,000 humpback whales, rare pygmy blue whales and southern right whales. So don’t forget the binoculars!

Goulburn River

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Eildon

Stay on the banks of the Goulburn at Breeze Eildon! With direct access & riverbank sites, park up and stay riverside for a cracking morning view. The longest river in Victoria, the Goulburn travels 650km into the mighty Murray River. Throw in a line as you fish for trout or Murray cod at one of the many hot spots. Try kayaking or a cool dip in the warmer months. Walk or bike down the Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail to further explore the wetlands. Make sure you keep an eye out for kingfishers, kookaburras and koalas as you go.

Lake Cania

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Cania Gorge

A 7-minute trip from Breeze Cania Gorge, take a splash at Cania Dam. There are great facilities here including boat ramp access, picnic areas, a kiosk and us! A great spot to throw in a line, you can either fish from a boat or the shore, make sure you pay attention to the signage for any guidelines. You’ll find species such as bass, golden perch, silver perch and eel-tailed catfish among others. There are also endless opportunities for water sports; hire a kayak (from reception) and head for a paddle, sailing is also permitted among other activities.

Venus Baths

Breeze Holiday Parks – Grampians & Halls Gap

One of the most unique and stunning attractions of the Grampians region, the Venus Baths are a little oasis and a must-see during your time here. The Stony Creek flows over a sandstone shelf thus creating the gorgeous pools of flowing water. An easy family-friendly 2.3km circuit will take you right to the baths, with a swim your reward at the end of your hike. The best time to visit is Spring, with the wildflowers in bloom and the waters natural flowing. 

 

Best time to visit: August-November

 

Seary's Creek

BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Rainbow Beach

Tucked into Cooloola Recreation area and just down the road from Breeze Rainbow Beach. Seary's Creek is the perfect spot for a leisurely morning swim, grab an inflatable and float downstream as rainbow fish flit below the surface. Pack a lunch and enjoy the vivid hues of the seasonal native wildflowers. During the warmer months Seary's is the perfect place to cooling down after a day of exploring Rainbow Beach.
