Halls Gap wwimming pool and adventure playground

Visitors can enjoy the use of the Halls Gap public swimming pool located in the centre of town. The swimming pool is open in the summer months at a very reasonable price.

Rock Pool Swim

Lake Bellfield Dam walk

Lake Bellfield’s Dam Walk is a scenic stroll for all, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Grampians and a tranquil escape into nature. Whether you choose the easy 800-metre path along the dam crest, soaking in the panoramic views, or explore the surrounding hills for hidden wildlife, Lake Bellfield’s dam walk promises a refreshing break and lasting memories.

Mount William hike

Climb to the highest point in the Grampians for 360-degree views of jagged mountain ranges and open plains. Go in winter for a chance for a chance see snow.

The Pinnacle Lookout hike

One of the highlights of the entire Grampians region is the well-known Pinnacle trek and overlook. Beautiful views of Halls Gap and the neighbouring peaks are the reward for hikers.

Venus Baths loop hike

A short stroll from Halls Gap's centre. To get to the botanic gardens, continue on the 2.3-kilometre track and cross Stoney Creek at the little bridge.

The Balconies & Reed Lookout hike

From a single car park, two breathtaking views. Both of these lookouts provide stunning views of the Victoria Valley and the surrounding peaks and are just a short 2 kilometres apart.

Boronia Peak Trail hike

Take the rocky climb up to the summit for spectacular views over Lake Fyans and the surrounding countryside.

Mount Abrupt walk

This walk is for the experienced hiker. Hike through the woodland and emerge on a rocky ridge.

The Piccaninny hike

This walk is in the Southern Grampians and offers spectacular views of Mount Abrupt and Dunkeld.

Mount Sturgeon hike

The Mount Sturgeon hike includes rock hopping and slippery surfaces. This is perfect for the adventurous hiker.

Mount Rosea Loop walk

This is a full day out for those adventurous hikers. The spectacular ‘Gate of the East Wind’ is a highlight of the walk.

Hollow Mountain hike

You can find this walk in the Northern Grampians. It is recommended for fit and energetic walkers.

Boroka Lookout to Reed Lookout hike

Return to Mt Victory Road, turn right. After 2kms turn left to Reed Lookout carpark. This lookout offers views over Victoria Valley, Lake Wartook and the Mt Difficult Range.

Zumsteins Picnic Area and historic walk to MacKenzie Falls

Return to Mt Victory Road, turn right and travel 6kms to Zumsteinds, which is a popular picnic area. A short historic walk also starts from the picnic area.

Fyans Creek Loop hike

Start at the stone sculpture at the rear of Brambuk – the National Park and Cultural Centre. Walk north past wetlands, along Fyans Valley until you reach Tandara Road. Cross over Fyans Creek Footbridge and up the stairs. Turn right and follow track, returning to the Cultural Centre.

Chatauqua Peak Loop hike

Start rear of Recreation Reserve, Mt Victory Road. Follow the sign-posted track from the recreation reserve to the first track intersection. Follow track to left and rock scramble to summit. Return to main track, turn left and follow track to Bullaces Glen and Mt Victory Road. Cross road walking through Botanic Gardens to tennis courts.

Silverband Falls hike

Start Silverbank car park. From car park, stroll 700m through shady, fern forest. Cross two footbridges to arrive at the base of Silverband Falls, the waterfall that disappears.

The Grand Canyon and Pinnacle walk

Follow the well formed track to Venus Baths, which follows Stony Creek to the Wonderland car park. At the Wonderland car park, cross the footbridge over Stony Creek and enter the Grand Canyon and then to Silent Street. A steady climb past magnificent rock formations brings you to the Pinnacle Lookout and its awe-inspiring views.
