As winter rolls in, the caravan calls. Picture crisp mornings, the smell of eucalyptus in the air, and the crackle of a campfire under a blanket of stars. Whether you’re chasing the sun or cozying up in cooler climes, there’s a perfect Breeze Holiday Park waiting for your van wheels.
Crispy Cool
Let us begin in our chilliest location, our Victorian parks are perfect for those seeking a full Australian winter experience. Think crispy, cool winter days, vibrant blue skies and clear campfire nights.
In Victoria we have three amazing locations to choose from. Head to Eildon for a more rustic experience, the town offers old world charm and allows you to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Breeze Eildon puts you right on the Goulburn River, so it’s perfect for our keen fisherman as you can throw a line in right from the park. The park offers great caravan and camping options with powered and unpowered spots, plus cabins if you are wanting a little extra comfort.
Moving east we have two great parks Breeze Halls Gap and Breeze Grampians, that allow you to explore the incredible Grampians National Park. Our Halls Gap Park puts you right in the middle of town, within walking distance of the town centre with all the amazing shops and restaurants right at your fingertips. Our Grampians Park is just outside of town bringing you closer to nature. Campfires will keep you warm at night while admiring the incredible star scapes. By day venture into the national park, the cooler weather makes hiking all the more pleasant, visit incredible spots such as Hollow Mountain, and Booroka Lookout. Both of these parks have great caravan and camping spots, plus cabins catering to all budgets and travellers.
Cool Trails & Clear Skies
Believe it or not, Queensland can get chilly too, and we have two parks that are perfect places to visit in winter. Cool days in Queensland mean more opportunities for exploring nature, Breeze Carnarvon Gorge and Breeze Cania Gorge are your top spots. Both locations give you sweeping sandstone cliffs, crystal clear creeks and bright blue skies. Be ready because it can get cold in the evenings, utilise those fire pits and make sure you rug up to keep warm.
Cania and Carnarvon Gorge have great unpowered and powered camping areas, with wide space for all types of campers and caravanners. If you want a more luxurious experience, then the Deluxe One-Bedroom Cabins at Carnarvon Gorge should be at the top of your list. These cabins give you that next level of nature experience, with all the comforts of a resort level stay, plus your own private fire pit to roast a marshmallow and relax by.
Mild & Majestic
Want just a little taste of winter, more of a fan of warm days, crisp evenings with a touch of beach? If you answered yes (and we highly recommend that you do), then our Breeze Rainbow Beach or Breeze Busselton are the spots for you. On opposite coasts these two spots will give you those incredible golden sunrises and sunsets and are both great spots for winter fishing. Pack a picnic and enjoy peaceful afternoons by the beach or the bay and at Rainbow Beach you can enjoy space in our unpowered and powered areas with a beverage by the firepit and watch as the stars twinkle in the sky (make sure you pack the bug spray, the sandflies love this time of day, but the fire will help). At Busselton you can’t have a fire, but you can head into town to explore some of the incredible food and beverage options that the Margaret River region features.
Endless Summer
Winter just not your thing? Then go north, head to the endless summer of the Northern Territory at Breeze Katherine or Breeze Mary River. Hot springs, adventure and ancient wildlife and landscapes await in the wild NT. Our Katherine Park is perfect for family adventures, with wide open spaces, swimming pool and pedal karts ready to go. The Fig Tree Bistro is also open during the cooler months, perfect for a meal without even having to leave the park. Powered and unpowered sites offer you a chance to engage with nature and to enjoy the starry skies. Cabins are also available for a little extra comfort and luxury.
Where will you wheels take you this winter? Pack your marshmallows and map, and let the road lead you to starry skies, golden sunsets and breezy adventure.
